About Alison
Alison Franck (CSA) is a casting professional with over 20 years of Broadway, Off-Broadway, Touring, Regional Theatre, TV, Film, Commercial and Voice Over Casting experience. For a decade, she was the Casting Director for the prestigious regional theatre Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, where she cast over 50 productions with some of the theatre community’s finest talent.
Alison has also cast national tours of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Guys and Dolls, Hello, Dolly! (starring Sally Struthers), Man of La Mancha, Damn Yankees, My Fair Lady, Hair, Ain’t Misbehavin’ (starring Ruben Studdard and Frenchie Davis), Dreamgirls, the annual tour of Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and recently the tour of A Christmas Story, the Musical! and another tour of Guys and Dolls. In addition to her years at Paper Mill Playhouse, Alison’s other regional casting work includes Goodspeed Opera House, North Shore Music Theatre, the Asolo, Coconut Grove Playhouse, The Human Race Theatre Company, Theatre Under the Stars and Theatre of the Stars.
How To Prepare
- Prepare a 32 bar cut clearly marked, and bring your book for another option.
- Bring a printed headshot/resume. We will be making notes on it and giving it blacked to you!
- Know your story and stakes—who you’re singing to and why.
- Dress like your best self (professional-casual that supports your brand).
- Bring water, a pencil, and a positive, collaborative spirit.
